October 2011

Days of Culture is being celebrated October 1st - 8th.  There will be an art exhibit at Veterans Memorial Hall on Friday 3pm - 6pm and on Saturday 1pm - 4pm.  There will be quilts from around the area and paintings from the Tuesday's Painters. 

It's a Scarecrow Contest.  Have your scarecrow decoration outside your business or home.  Judging canisters will be located at Bank of Eastern Oregon, Two Boys Market, B&C Grocery, Murray's Pharmacy & Country Flowers.  Bring in your ballot to vote for your favorite display by October 24th.  Winners will be announced in the Times Journal on October 27th.  Click here for a ballot.

Condon Chamber of Commerce is creating a database of all rental properties in our community.  The goal of the rental listing is to provide long and short-term housing needs for new residents.  The active rental listing will become a public document of the Condon Chamber of Commerce and will be distributed to local wind companies and other interested house seekers.  A questionnaire went out to rental property owners on March 9, 2011.  If you did not receive one and you have rental property in or around Condon, please contact the Chamber at 541-384-7777 or e-mail to info@condonchamber.org.  Click here for a copy of the questionnaire.
